We’re in this together!

The Vibration Training Industry is dis-jointed.  Brands and Studios set their business goals and work  hard to achieve a positive balance sheet at the end of the financial year and to further their business, keeping current customers happy and engaging new ones.  Some work to further public understanding and acceptance of Vibration Training, with or without strong advertising to “buy my brand”.  Some have the added job of designing new units and getting them into the market.  All good but what I see is that most do this alone.

Alone and opposing other Vibration Training companies often means turning a blind eye to the negatives that abound,

like the $1500 price tag on $100 value  home machines, units that break down within weeks or never work as the buyer expected (or as the advertising and specs said), very low quality units given to a hospital along with lots of fan-fare and advertising for that brand and more. Why should anyone care when it doesn’t impact them directly and when it may be in a country far away?  There are a few self-proclaimed spokepersons for this industry so why do I have to do anything?

We all need a wake-up call and I include myself in this.   We are in the healthcare and sports industries.  We exist to help people achieve fitness, health, a better quality of life, maybe sports prowess.  We’re not selling the latest Flatscreen TV with super remote control that even works the coffee machine.  If we were it wouldn’t matter if a dealer in another town was selling an inferior product.  It wouldn’t matter how many minutes the user watched the screen or if it flickered badly, as long as our TV sales were good and our customers were happy.  BUT this isn’t  TV selling, it’s Vibration Training and Therapy and it does matter when there’s a problem in the industry in another town or country. It will impact severely on  individual businesses and collectively, especially in a time of economic downturn. Too many Vibration Training companies have maintained a staid, silent approach and let others speak out.

We’re in this together – It’s time to work together!

This might be as simple as praise or encouragement to our direct opposition or (scary thought) sending a customer to that opposition because their machine is better suited to the customer’s needs.  It means banding together to fight the cheap (and not so cheap), low grade machine dealers, and it, especially, means presenting a united front to the world, opposing the lies and misinformation against Vibration Training told by some Fitness Professionals on their websites. It may even mean presenting a joint front  in advertising.  Our product is not a luxury to be neglected in tough times – It’s an answer to everyone’s need. It’s time sparing, relatively inexpensive, it gives a boost to body and brain, and best of all, it delivers on promise – it works!

We must all hang together or most assuredly we shall hang separately.  ~Benjamin Franklin
